A warm and windy Monday is ahead in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Rain chances are ahead Tuesday night through Wednesday night.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 72. Northeast wind 14 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 55. Northeast wind 11 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 68. North wind 11 to 13 mph.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a low around 62. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy with a high near 78. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Wednesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy with a low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 49. Windy.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 34.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 56.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 40.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 66.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 45.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 66.
