Temperatures are warming up in central Oklahoma Thursday with high winds, the National Weather Service reports.

Oklahoma City will have a high near 85 degrees and winds gusting up to 36 mph.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 85. Windy with a south wind 15 to 25 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 56. North wind 8 to 14 mph becoming east, southeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 81. East wind 5 to 7 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 56. East, southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 82. South wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Sunday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 41.
