A warmer and windy Thursday is ahead in central Oklahoma.

Temperatures will be near 82 degrees with gusty winds up to 28 mph.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 82. South wind 10 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 63. South, southeast wind 16 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 82. South, southwest wind 15 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 63. South, southwest wind around 9 mph becoming north, northeast after midnight.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 79. Northeast wind 15 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 60.
