Mills, 30, didn't think he'd make it into the Super Bowl, but the independent journalist from Brooklyn slipped his way past security and crashed MVP Malcolm Smith's postgame presser.
Mills took an old credential from a festival he covered, put it around his neck and stuck to a common refrain whenever questioned by security around MetLife Stadium.
"I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there," Mills told NJ.com. "It was that simple."
