A water emergency has been declared following a water main break that flooded a busy Broken Arrow intersection Thursday morning.

The 24-inch water main break temporarily reduced eastbound traffic to one lane about 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Ninth Street (Lynn Lane Road) and Kenosha (71st) Street, officials said.

City pools and splash pads will be closed until further notice and Battle Creek Golf Course will stop watering any nonessential portions of the course until the repair is complete, officials said.
