Watermelon seed-spitting contest in Oklahoma City previews Rush Springs festival
Events at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City previewed the watermelon festival in Rush Springs.
The Rush Springs Watermelon Festival has become a popular event in Oklahoma, and the event was previewed this week at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City.

Participants were able to run in a 5k. Also offered were a watermelon seed-spitting contest and plenty of fresh watermelon to sample.
