We determine our needs and wants

“You don't need that!”

We've been hearing that a lot lately, mostly by the left, but also by the right. This time they're mostly talking about semi-automatic rifles and large-capacity magazines. Of course, we don't need them. What else do you want to be told you don't need? Large soft drinks, fatty foods — the list goes on and on. We all own stuff we don't need but we want it and have it for whatever reason; it's not up to others, especially the government, to determine.

If one is truly honest about it, no amount of gun control will prevent the type of incidents that this is all about. The Founding Fathers didn't include the Second Amendment to protect keeping arms for hunting or target shooting. It was to provide protection from a tyrannical government such as the one they left. Your spouse and your doctor should be the only ones in your life to suggest what you need!
