When my children first started learning how to write, they always found a package of “thank you notes” in their Christmas stockings … and 50+ years later they…and their children still do.
When my Grandchildren turned 13 they learned how to set a formal table. They are now 17, 18 and 18 and that is their responsibility at every family dinner. (2 boys and 1 girl) When they bring “dates/friends” to our home for a dinner, they get to show off their skills.
