We got mail!----20-40-60 Etiquette---A reader comments!

by Helen Ford Wallace and Lillie-Beth Brinkman and Callie Gordon Published: January 12, 2014

(Readers, we will have a letters from readers column soon, but this one came in and made me smile. What good ideas to “help” in learning manners. I would publish the reader’s name, but we have not done that thus far, so she will remain anonymous. But, you really might know this grandmother! She’s a wonderful person!)

Good Morning Helen … I certainly enjoy your comments in 20/40/60.
My comments:
When my children first started learning how to write, they always found a package of “thank you notes” in their Christmas stockings … and 50+ years later they…and their children still do.
When my Grandchildren turned 13 they learned how to set a formal table.  They are now 17, 18 and 18 and that is their responsibility at every family dinner.  (2 boys and 1 girl)  When they bring “dates/friends” to our home for a dinner, they get to show off their skills.
