Mary Dunn and Anna Pfeiffer, Arkansas History Commission, will present “An Overview of Civil War Resources” and “Official Records of the Civil War in Arkansas” at 9 a.m., May 31 at Ozark Heritage Arts Center & Museum, 410 Oak, Leslie, Ark.
Afternoon sessions will include speakers Brian Irby, Arkansas History Commission, “Looking Back at the Civil War Through the Records” and James J. Johnston, Searcy County Historical Society, “Searcy County in 1863: Confederate Guerrillas & Union Recruiters.” Fee is $5 per session.

• Jan Davis, Oklahoma Department of Libraries administrative archivist, will present “The Collections of the Oklahoma Department of Libraries,” at the Oklahoma Genealogical Society meeting at 6 p.m. May 6 in the Chesapeake Event Center, Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive.
Davis will discuss a variety of archived records and provide an overview of the Digital Prairie online resources. The Oklahoma State Archives includes more than 26,000 cubic feet of records documenting state government activities.
