The Oklahoma County OHCE Genealogy Group will meet at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the Leroy H. Fisher Board Room, Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive.

The OHCE Genealogy Group recently completed a cemetery directory project which provides locations and directions to all known cemeteries in all 77 counties in Oklahoma. Its focus this year is to provide tombstone photographs and transcriptions of symbols for all known cemeteries in Oklahoma County.

Luann Waters, state coordinator for the Oklahoma Leopold Education Project, will present “Gravestone Studies.”

The presentation will include interpretation of the basic information as well as interpretation of the tombstone symbols for occupations and social organizations.
