Waddle will demonstrate the new and improved search features, which include:

• Record indexes and images — results are listed in order with the best results first. The new preview feature allows the user see information included in each record.

• The new Learning Resources provides access to free information and tips from genealogists and research experts.

• The new Family Tree allows researchers to work with other family members to provide accurate records with sources and images.

The Pittsburg County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at 113 East Carl Albert Parkway, McAlester.

Janice Barker, Pittsburg County Clerk, will give an overview of the public records maintained at the county courthouse.
