Tom Sloan (Your Views, Feb. 22) doesn't understand economics. Sweat doesn't create wealth. Wealth is created by what one produces. Bill Gates makes more than a ditch digger because of what he produced. Teachers, among the best-paid professionals on an hourly basis, know what their annual salary will be going into the profession, just as a hedge fund manager does.
If you want to be wealthy, choose your profession accordingly.
