Weather cooling down in Oklahoma with rain chances ahead this week

Cooler weather is ahead this week in Oklahoma. Monday in central Oklahoma the high will be near 95 degrees.

Temperatures are cooling down in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Monday's high temperature will be near 95 degrees in Oklahoma City. Then Tuesday there is a 40 percent chance of rain with a high near 86 degrees.

Temperatures will be in the mid-90s Wednesday but the high temperatures will drop into the low 90s or high 80s through Sunday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Sunny with a high near 95. North wind 10 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday night: A chance of sprinkles after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy with a low around 67. North wind 5 to 14 mph becoming east, northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 86. East, southeast wind around 11 mph.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 68. Southeast wind 8 to 11 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 96. Southeast wind 13 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 74.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 92.

Thursday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloud, with a low around 68.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 85.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 63.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 87.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 65.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 87.
