Website: More female college students turning to 'sugar daddies' to pay for tuition

When it comes to footing the tuition bill, some female college students are turning to “sugar daddies.”, a website that hooks up wealthy older people with younger users, announced this week that in 2012 it experienced a 58 percent increase in college students looking for a big-bucks benefactor to relieve some of the burden of their student debt.

Tracking members who logged in using their college email addresses, the site concluded that 103 women from Ohio University signed up for the service in 2012 and 123 registered from Kent State. Ohio State had 64, and Miami University 48. Each experienced a marked increase from the number of women who signed up in 2011.
