Engagement Announcement Submission Guidelines

Share the good news with Oklahoma and the world! Your engagement announcement runs in a Sunday edition of The Oklahoman and online for 30 days on NewsOK.com.

Please use formal names, rather than nicknames. Street addresses of the couple and their parents are required if they live in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Addresses will not be published.

Engagement announcements will be published free in The Oklahoman Sunday edition if information is submitted at least two months before the date of the wedding. No pictures will be published with the announcements. Paid engagement with photos are available through the Classified Ad Department.

Wedding Announcement Submission Guidelines

To place your wedding announcement, it must be in our office 8 business days prior to publication. The price and size will be determined prior to publication and must be confirmed and verified no later than 4 business days prior to publication. Your announcement runs in Sunday's LIFE section and also online on Oklahoma's largest, local Web site for 30 days. After we process your submitted announcement, verification of size and price occurs before publication.

After Submission
After you complete and submit, an Oklahoman representative will contact you to confirm information, text and quote a price for your announcement.

Determining Price
Rates: $28.98 per column inch
The total number of column inches of your announcement is determined by multiplying the number of columns wide by the depth in inches. For example, an announcement two columns wide by 7 inches deep would equal 14 column inches.

Photography
The Oklahoman Sunday edition requires photos with good contrast for clear newspaper reproduction. We prefer 5" x 7" or 8" x 10" black and white print for conversion to the size you choose. Electronic photos may be submitted in jpeg format with a minimum 200 dpi. We cannot guarantee satisfactory reproduction of color snapshots, Polaroid prints or other prints of less than professional quality. Soft focus prints do not reproduce well. The Oklahoman will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any photo. Please print name and address on photo. Ask us about publishing your photo in color.
