Wednesday morning brings nearly four inches of rain to Oklahoma City

The rain came hard and fast in Oklahoma City Wednesday morning.

Most parts of the city saw multiple inches of rain before 9 a.m. Wednesday. By mid-morning, an Oklahoma Mesonet weather network in eastern Oklahoma City had measured nearly 4 inches of rain.

But other areas of the metro weren’t as lucky. Norman, for example, saw only a little over a half inch of rain. Take a look:

A flood advisory was in effect for Oklahoma City Wednesday morning. Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Mark Myers said the department didn’t receive any reports of stranded motorists.
