Knall took over as the starter in game No. 10 last season against Baylor. He went on to kick six punts more than 50 yards and had six downed inside the 20-yard line. Knall is from Scottsdale, Ariz., but said he might stick around Norman for a while after graduation this May.

During the summer it’s hot in Scottsdale, but the other 70 percent of the year, it’s beautiful. During the summer there isn’t much to do other than stay inside and maybe go to the pool. But the pool is even too hot sometimes. It can be 85 degrees in there. It’s different, there, though. It’s a dry humidity.
I was a business major until I took accounting. Accounting is just too many numbers and stuff. It’s a different language. Now I’m a human relations major. I want to open my own restaurant — a sports bar. Where? After being here for a while, I think I could be pretty successful here. After seeing restaurants back home I think I could really make a name here.
The best thing about Norman is that it’s like a college town. Back home it’s too big of a city. I like the college atmosphere here. The worst thing is that since Scottsdale is a big city, you don’t have everything here that we do back home. There aren’t the big restaurants and things like that. But you learn to love it here.
The funniest guy on the team is Brandon Caleb. He’s always talking, and his charisma just makes him who he is. He’s a real guy for sure.
When we aren’t playing football, I just like to watch movies and relax. There isn’t much else to do in Norman really. But we’re hardly ever not playing football.
I’d have to say my favorite coach is coach Stoops overall. He’s our leader. The way he builds his team and has the coaches coach us and stuff. I love the way his mind is during games and the way his mind is off the field. He’s an overall amazing guy.
