The One Kid Challenge program has the goal of getting one adult to assist one student for one hour a month to help students overcome challenges they face in school.

The kickoff training session for volunteers will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, starting with a French toast breakfast. There also will be breakout training sessions in math and reading, along with guest speakers.

The program is looking for individuals and businesses willing to participate. For more information, call Ashley Angel at 350-3455.
