SYDNEY (AP) — Brazilian midfielder Guilherme Finkler scored with a curling free kick four minutes into injury time Saturday to give the Melbourne Victory a 1-1 draw with the Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia's A-League.

Brendon Santalab gave the Wanderers the lead in the 71st minute at Melbourne. Western Sydney, undefeated in five matches, pulled to within four points of first-place Brisbane.

Wanderers coach Tony Popovic left regulars Shinji Ono, Tomi Juric and Youssouf Hersi out of his starting side, with Hersi on the bench.

Wellington recorded consecutive wins for the first time in 18 months, beating Melbourne Heart 1-0 and putting more pressure on Heart coach John Aloisi.

The loss may have cost Aloisi his job — News Limited newspapers reported in Sunday editions that Aloisi had been fired after a two-hour board meeting, although there was no official confirmation from the team.

Stein Huysegems scored in the 75th minute to keep the Heart winless over 17 games going back to last season.

Aloisi, who heard chants of "Aloisi Out" during the match, criticized his players following the loss.

"Again we're creating clear-cut chances and we're not punishing teams," Aloisi said. "The players need to stand up ... it's not good enough and I can understand supporters being angry."

Adelaide plays Newcastle on Sunday to close out the weekend round.
