Westmoore football coach Billy Langford told The Oklahoman on Monday he has resigned from his position to be able to spend more time with his family.

Langford spent four seasons at Westmoore, guiding the Jaguars to a 29-18 record over that time. He previously spent time as head coach at Blanchard before serving as an assistant at Mustang.

Westmoore (10-3) had its best season under Langford in 2013, reaching the Class 6A semifinals before falling to state champion Jenks. All three of the Jaguars’ losses this season came against 6A semifinalist — Jenks twice and Broken Arrow.
