Westmoore has no answer for Mustang's David Glidden

— David Glidden was the ultimate answer for Mustang on Friday night. He was also the one problem Westmoore couldn't solve.


Glidden, who has committed to Oklahoma State, scored on offense, defense and special teams, and after a slow start in the first half, the Broncos' offense exploded for a 43-7 victory and clinched a home playoff game.

"Our whole mindset since we got beat at Lawton has been to just run the table," Mustang coach Ty Prestidge said. "We've got one game left."

Known for its high-octane offense, Mustang (7-2) got a spark from its defense and special teams. The Broncos scored three times in two minutes just before the end of the first quarter.

After quarterback Brandon Taylor connected with Michael Anderson for the game's first touchdown, Mustang forced a safety and Glidden returned the ensuing free kick 70 yards back through the Westmoore kickoff coverage team.

"I had two holes to pick from," Glidden said. "I always like to make the cutback. I think it gives me more distance and more space to work with."
