Wet weather causing flooding concerns throughout Oklahoma

Flood warnings have been issued for Pottawatomie and Seminole counties as the Little River is flooding out of its banks.

The National Weather Service put much of eastern Oklahoma is under a flash flood warning or flash flood watch today as heavy rain continued.

Flooding was reported around Tecumseh this morning and into Seminole County along the Little River.

"We've got some deputies out trying to go west of Sasakwa, but the water is high," said Aaron J. Findley, Seminole County emergency management director.

He said there are no homes in the area that is flooding south of Bowlegs on State Highway 99 where the Little River is rising.

Several counties in eastern Oklahoma were under flash flood warnings and flash flood watches this morning.

Also, the Blue River is flooding near Blue in Bryan County and is not expected to crest until sometime late today.
