CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Ben Wetzler allowed one run and struck out 10 in a four-hitter as top national seed Oregon State stayed alive in the NCAA Corvallis regional with a 6-1 victory over UNLV on Sunday.

The Beavers (44-13) face UC Irvine in the nightcap. The Anteaters defeated Oregon State 14-2 Saturday night in the double-elimination regional.

With a win, the Beavers will force a deciding game on Monday.

"It's do or die at this point and we have to show up again," Wetzler said.

Scoring just 17 runs in their last nine games, the Oregon State (44-13) offense finally came to life in the sixth with five runs on five hits to take a 5-0 lead. Gabe Clark's RBI single broke a 1-for-19 skid with runners in scoring position for the Beavers, and Kavin Keyes followed up with a two-run triple.

That was all the run support Wetzler (12-1) needed to finish off his dominant performance.

"It was a lift," Wetzler said of the Beavers' big inning. " Whatever was over us is gone. It's gone, its lifted and the guys are swinging well."

UNLV's (36-25) lone run came in the bottom of the sixth on Patrick Armstrong's RBI single. Rebels starter Kenny Oakley (4-8) gave up five runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings in the loss.

Keyes, Caleb Hamilton and Trevor Morrison each had two hits for the Beavers. Keyes had two RBIs.
