Derek Fisher: “Regardless of what is said, there are going to be guys that can get calls and can get away with certain things and the rest of us can’t. To me, it’s that simple. That explains how much room you have to talk and complain about certain things … I think they understand that I really don’t complain unless I really feel like something happened on a play. But at the same time, there are a lot of things I don’t get because I’m not top billing. I’m not putting people in the seats.”

Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young: “I talk trash a little bit. I joke around a little bit, like, ‘Y’all didn’t see that?’ Or, ‘Come on, man, I know y’all seen that?’ But if it keeps going on then I get mad and probably get a tech. If you get mad enough then they got to pay attention to it. Eventually, they’ll end up seeing it. They ain’t going to get every call right. But it’s tough for them. Anybody that’s reffing is going to get yelled at.”
