The College Football Playoff Trophy was unveiled in a Monday morning press conference. The trophy stands 26.5 inches tall, is 35 pounds, and is made of 24 karat gold, bronze and stainless steel.

Goodbye, Waterford Crystal. The trophy will be presented to the winner of the first College Football Playoff on Jan. 12, 2015 in North Texas.
Bill Hancock, Oklahoma native and executive director of the College Football Playoff, said Monday that the trophy will make the rounds across the country leading up to the championship game.
