What they’re saying about the Heisman
Sam Bradford? Colt McCoy? Tim Tebow? It looks as though the Heisman Trophy is going to come down to one of these QBs. Here’s what pundits and prognosticators are saying:

If Bradford has a subpar effort against Missouri, McCoy — or perhaps Tebow — could overtake him ... Of course, the final game also provides a chance for Bradford to remove any doubt that he’ll win the 74th Heisman Trophy.

— Olin Buchanan, Rivals.com

Tebow seemingly had no chance of repeating as the Heisman recipient a few weeks ago. That’s all changed, mostly because Texas Tech’s blowout loss to Oklahoma ... ruined Harrell’s chance to put a lock on the award. It leaves open the possibility that three deserving quarterbacks from the same league could take votes from each other. That might allow Tebow to win the statue again.

— Gene Frenette, Florida Times-Union

Sam Bradford certainly helped his Heisman Trophy cause with a spectacular performance in OU’s win over Oklahoma State ... And it didn’t hurt that his Elway-esque, whirlybird try for the end zone gives him a telegenic signature play. Colt McCoy has had a season worth of them, but nothing that dramatic.
