ESPN/Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay: “He's not a truly elite receiver prospect like Calvin Johnson or A.J. Green, but Blackmon has the hands, route-running skills and physical style to be a playmaker on the perimeter.”

NFL Network's Michael Lombardi: “I believe there are more teams in the league that don't think Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon is a true No. 1 receiver than do. This is not to say he's a poor player, but he is not rare talent, not overwhelmingly special.”

Sports Illustrated's Peter King: “The Rams love Trent Richardson (join the club), and the 6-foot-1, 207-pound Blackmon doesn't have the size they prefer: Calvin Johnson has him by four inches and 29 pounds. But St. Louis is woefully deficient at receiver, and Blackmon's ability to get open on quick slants and deep routes is beyond instinctive.”
