Texas cornerback Carrington Byndom, on if he would miss playing Texas A&M: “We put TCU in that spot. So, no. Not at all. They left, and we've replaced them with TCU.”

OSU tailback Joseph Randle, on all the congratulations from the 2011 title season: “It's nice. We had a great season last year. We're just trying to do it again. I don't want it to stop. I don't want the party to stop.”

Kansas quarterback Dayne Crist, on what drew him to KU: “It wasn't so much what they said but more the feel that I had from those guys. You could tell there was a definite desire and eagerness to win and be successful and improve ... they're very excited to make a name for themselves this year and help start turning this thing around.”

Texas coach Mack Brown: “We had a great defense last year by the end of the year, and our defense was really led by seniors. So who will be the guy to step up and take the leadership role?”

Baylor quarterback Nick Florence: “I'm getting a free education and hopefully two degrees about it. I'm thankful for football.”
