Today’s featured event:

Check out the fun of the monthly Plaza Sunday art walk from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Plaza District around NW 16.

Saints and Urban Wineworks will be showcasing their brand new brunch menus. If Eggs Benedict is your flavor, try Urban Wineworks – they have more than five different varieties! Saints will be featuring two new vegan-friendly options as well.

Roxy’s Ice Cream Social will be serving up their delicious ice cream. OECU will be bringing their brand new trike, handing out free ice pops for adults and kiddos alike.

Feel free to partake in drawing chalk art masterpieces or interacting with any of the sidewalk games during the event. If you are feeling creative, be sure to reserve your spot at Paint N Cheers for their monthly Kool-Aid and Canvas event. Each month, they provide a family-friendly atmosphere for class-goers to paint and enjoy cold beverages. The featured painting for Plaza Sunday is Dr. Seuss Balloons.

Many of our Plaza businesses will also be showcasing local artists. Stop in to DNA Galleries for the Bombs Away Art Show with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma for tornado relief. If you didn’t get enough of Fourth of July festivities or are still living in vacation mode, Tree & Leaf will be featuring “American Hangover,” art by Tony Thunder. Just down the street at IVC, check out the contemporary Oklahoma landscape paintings by artist Mikul Anderson. The patio at IVC is a great resting place as well!

Violin musicians The Stringents will be playing inside at The Parish, and you can also catch Andrew May playing some acoustic tunes outside at Bad Granny’s. Allie Lauren also will be performing outside to give your stroll that extra something special.

Still wanting to continue the holiday after Plaza Sunday? Take the short bike ride over to Brass Bell Studios at 2500 NW 33rd for First Sundays, the featured artist this month will be Aleister Meek.
