Today’s featured event:

Hear from Charles Churchward, author and friend of Herb Ritts, talk about the life of  legendary celebrity photographer Herb Ritts at 6 p.m. today at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art’s Noble Theater, 415 Couch Drive. A book signing will follow at 7 p.m. in Founders’ Hall.

The distinguished art director of publications including “Vogue” and “Vanity Fair,” Churchward wrote the book “Herb Ritts: The Golden Hour.” He will share stories about the never-before-seen images and interviews that ultimately became the definitive book on the life of the legendary photographer Herb Ritts.

Churchward, a close friend of Ritts, spent years researching Ritts’s personal archive to select intimate portraits and interviewing Ritts’s closest confidants and friends including Anna Wintour, Madonna, Annie Leibovitz, Cindy Crawford, Elton John, and Richard Gere.

The lecture is offered in conjunction with the special exhibition “Herb Ritts: Beauty and Celebrity,” on view through July 28 at the museum.

Attend the lecture for your chance to win a free copy of “Herb Ritts: The Golden Hour,” or buy your book that night. Members save 10 percent in the Museum Store.
