What to do in Oklahoma on June 29, 2013: Check out the Stars & Stripes River Festival

Today’s featured event:

Celebrate America’s freedom at the SandRidge Energy Stars & Stripes River Festival today in the Boathouse District of the Oklahoma River, 725 S Lincoln Blvd. The family festival and on-the-water competition continue from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today. The event includes live music, a rubber duck race, the Olympic Experience, dragon boat races and fireworks to close the evening.

Join dignitaries from across the city at 8:45 p.m. for the historic MAPS 3 Lighting Ceremony – the first time they will officially light the Oklahoma River race course with new permanent lights made possible through MAPS 3 funding.
