by Bryan Painter Published: January 30, 2014

From the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office, “A storm system will move through the Southern Plains Friday night into early Saturday. As this occurs some light precipitation, in the form of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain may occur across parts of central and northern Oklahoma. Warmer temperatures farther south would allow just rain to fall.”

Following is Thursday morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook”

from the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office for  northern, western,
central and southern Oklahoma and western, north Texas:

Day one…today and tonight:

“Warm temperatures, gusty southwest winds and low afternoon
humidities will result in elevated wildfire concerns.

Days two through seven…Friday through Wednesday…

“There is a chance of freezing drizzle and light freezing rain
across parts of northern into central and eastern Oklahoma
Friday night and Saturday morning. Some light accumulations may
occur, causing slick spots on area roadways.

“A storm system will bring a chance of rain and snow to Oklahoma
and western north Texas on Sunday. Another round of winter
weather will impact Oklahoma and western north Texas late
Monday into Tuesday.”
