Cooler weather in Oklahoma's forecast prompts fire, heater safety tips

Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s and 40s for the next few days in several areas of Oklahoma . So, it’s a good time to think about fall fire safety, Oklahoma City Fire Department Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said. City fire officials said the most important aspect of home fire safety is making sure each home has a working smoke alarm. Alarms should be checked monthly and batteries changed annually.
