Where have gentlemen and ladies gone?

Published: September 4, 2013

The word “diversity,” so loved by the media and colleges, has polarized America. Our culture has been pulled apart by words never used when I was young. Vulgar four-letter words are spoken in public, even in front of ladies. Where have gentlemen and ladies gone? We wonder why children have little respect for teachers and authority. Diversity and culture are major factors.

There was a time when dancing was beautiful and clean. Good music was clean and respectful. Today dancing is hard to describe. Dirty dancing has moved in, and our younger generation doesn't know the difference between rap and waltz. There's no dignity in dancing at most high school proms.

Immigration has brought a culture that's foreign to us. American laws and a culture that everyone should respect is necessary if immigrants want to live with us. The majority of Americans both young and old don't want America to go the way of France and England. With a lot of determination, love and respect for God and country, we can keep America the land of the free and the home of the brave.
