Where were you when James Harden was traded?

Berry Tramel and I got to reminiscing during this week’s “Five In Five” segment of the Press Row.

The topic: Where were you when you heard about the James Harden trade?

Thunder fans everywhere remember where they were, and for thousands of them, they were all in the same spot — at Oklahoma’s football game against Notre Dame. Early in the fourth quarter of that game last season, news started to filter through the stadium that the Thunder had traded Harden to the Rockets. People got news on their cell phones via apps or text or calls. Berry was there in Norman covering that game, and he recalls a real and noticeable buzz that went up around the stadium and news spread. I have a feeling it was unlike anything he’d ever witnessed before while covering a game.

We talk about that night as well as all sorts of other topics in “Five In Five” including quarterback play at Oklahoma State and whether Josh Heupel is on the hot seat at OU. Be sure to check it out, and remember, it’s brought to you by Papa John’s Pizza.
