Who's hot, who's not

Hot
OU offensive line: Last Saturday, the Sooner offensive line dominated Miami's defensive front, one of the best in the country.

Quarterback Sam Bradford was sacked just once, and the running back trio of Allen Patrick, Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray combined to rush for 153 yards, averaging better than 4 yards a carry.

Utah State basketball: Lately, Utah State has been one of the most consistent mid-major hoops programs, making the NCAA tournament in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2006.

And during the last eight years, the Aggies are one of just four teams in the nation to win at least 23 games in each of those seasons, joining Gonzaga, Kansas and Syracuse.

Not
OU freshmen: So far, quarterback Keith Nichol is the only freshman to step on the field.

And with the torrid start by redshirt freshman quarterback Sam Bradford, even Nichol may have difficultly finding much playing time in a Sooner uniform.

Receiver Ryan Broyles, who was expected to play, was suspended indefinitely for allegedly trying to steal gas before the opener.

And this week, coaches indicated that Enid linebacker Austin Box, who also was expected to play, now likely will redshirt.

Utah State football: The Aggies have set new standards in futility losing 19 of their last 21 games, including starting 0-2 this year.

Last year, Utah State's defense allowed at least 42 points in its last five games, while the offense started slow, managing just 7 points in its first four outings.

The Aggies, however, may be improved this year.

In its opener, Utah State lost by just a touchdown to UNLV, which nearly upset seventh-ranked Wisconsin last weekend.
