Oklahoma State is a good basketball job with a nice following. But it's not in the same stratosphere as Kansas or Kentucky.

KU athletic director Lew Perkins said Tuesday, "Nobody has called me from Oklahoma State, which I would assume they would have done that. We're going to do everything we possibly can to have Bill be our basketball coach here for a long, long time. I see no reason why that won't happen.”

"Kentucky has every single thing that you need to win national championships,” Gillispie said two weeks ago before his NCAA Tournament game in Anaheim, Calif. "It's been proven over time.
