Why the outrage over tying faith to killings?

T HE killer was regular Army, angry with his country, spewing delusional hate speech and bent on killing as many people as he could in a single act of mass murder. His ideology connected him in the minds of many to a larger group from whom further violence was not only possible but to be expected and watched for.
