Will criminals obey new gun control law?

Regarding “Slain man was tied to series of crimes” and “Gun control bill clears its first hurdle” (News, April 12): The slain man, Christopher Lee Stout, was “suspected” of multiple break-ins where only guns and jewelry were stolen. Guns are apparently a favorite target for thieves. I find it hard to believe that people would break the law like this. Don't criminals realize it's against the law to break into someone's home and steal? Don't they know it's against the law for a convicted felon to be in possession of a firearm? Boy, the passing of more gun laws will really stop these bad guys! I feel a little safer; I'm sure the criminal element will obey those new gun control laws.
