OSU's Keith Toston leaps to try to get by Colorado's Jeff Smart during the college football game between Oklahoma State University and the University of Colorado at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008. BY BRYAN TERRY, THE OKLAHOMAN
BOULDER, Colo. — Oklahoma State scored three touchdowns Saturday night in the Rockies. All three came via elite athletic talent. A 29-yard circus-catch-and-run by Dez Bryant. A 43-yard run by lightning bug tailback Kendall Hunter. A 12-yard scamper by inspired quarterback Zac Robinson.

Since Colorado never received the memo that Big 12 football has gone offense-crazy, three touchdowns were enough.
OSU, otherwise workmanlike if not lethargic, bested the Buffs 30-17 for the simplest of reasons.
Better ballplayers.
Time was, the Cowboys had to come to Folsom Field and other perilous venues and try to wangle a victory. Not now.
“We've got some skill guys that can make some plays with the ball,” State coach Mike Gundy said.
“It does make a difference. Coaching can only go so far. You've got to have some guys that can make plays.”
As head coach, Gundy lost his first three games against the Big 12 North. Since then, he's 7-2 against the North, and the Cowboys have eclipsed all but Missouri in talent. And that one's close.
Heck, watching the Notre Dame-Navy game earlier Saturday, you realized how much the college football globe has turned. Not only does Oklahoma State have better ballplayers than Notre Dame, it has way better talent.
Tight end Brandon Pettigrew, a secondary that can run and break on the ball. Plus the touchdown-makers.
Hunter might make all-American. Bryant is all-world. Robinson might be only all-Colorado, but returning to his home state, he played salty, if not always superb.
Biggest play of the game: Colorado had cut the lead to 27-17 in the fourth quarter, and OSU faced third-and-9 from its 40. Robinson rolled out, CU cornerback Gardner McKay was in position to make the play and Robinson found a higher gear, bursting to a 10-yard gain that prolonged the drive and burned up a good chunk of clock.
Three months ago, this game looked like a tossup. But this week, it looked like a blowout. Colorado was 4-1 at home this year, but other than an overtime win over West Virginia, the Buffs' victories were not impressive. Last-minute nail-biters against Eastern Washington, Kansas State and Iowa State, weak teams all.
With a pristine effort, this one would have been a blowout. But the Buffs had much to play for: a bowl berth (they are one victory shy of qualifying), plus it was senior night. And night games at altitude can be scary for a foe.
“We wanted to approach it businesslike,” said OSU assistant Doug Meacham, “not look ahead. Just focus on the task at hand.”
Meacham was a little emotional after the game. He's an OSU grad and knows how big a turnaround it is to reach nine wins. No Cowboy team has won more in a regular season.
“Just a proud moment for me, having a chance to reach 10,” Meacham said, referring to the Nov. 29 Bedlam showdown.
With playmakers like this, 10 is quite possible.

When I was a child and I saw the OSU hand wave over the heads at the 66-6 1970 game when OSU got it 6 points, I thought it was the "Poor Aggies" wave since that is all I ever heard about them. OSU has won 16 games in a 102 game series. OU is nearing 3,000 points scored in the series and OSU just scored its 1,000th point recently in the series. This is probably OSU's best team ever. Congrats to the O-Aggies.
It never ceases to amaze me that when there is a positive story about OSU winning a game, and in this case going to 9-2 on the year, the uo keyboard kiddies show up and act like a pre-schooler full of Halloween candy. They just can't help themselves but be perfect idiots with their comments, and even laugh at their own lame jokes that are as old as Cecil Samara, and he's dead. What they think is funny now, won't be after Texas Tech has their way with them next week and OSU the week after. Two quick losses and instead of whining about OSU winning, they'll be after ol' Bobby Stoop's head on a platter, with a side dish of how they were robbed of the Big XII Championship, yet still plan on winning the National Championship. Yeah, I can hear it now, like I've heard it all my life about how great uo is even if they did lose. Let's see, OSU has beat the #3 team, lost to #1, and #2, and has one more game to win before going bowling, who has uo played? Only one top ten team? And they lost? tsk tsk. See you LouSERS in Stillwater in a coupld of weeks, and bring some tissues, you'll need them after the game for that long drive back to norman in your goonermobiles. Go Pokes!
Likesmen, you said "on a serious note". When are you going to post that? You know..the serious one? Your last one was still the same old, same old. Laughable horse-hockey. Fortunately, people like you WILL eventually go away, like flies. Until then, live in your dream world.
On a serious note, if everyone of you would let osu just be what it always has been then people like me would go away and let all of you live in lala land and be happy, so sell out your stadium be respectful of the real powerhouse in Oklahoma and all will be well.

you must be torn then, you sure it wasn't animal husbandry"osu" and "OU law", now my question is, do you represent Livestock in courts of law? I am kidding Jordan. I love my life Jordan, I did go to OU, and I have a blast getting all of you fired up, the only thing that would be better would be that I could do all of this by voice to all of you, lets petition the DOK to make this thing like yahoo chat or something like that. The fun that I could have with poor osu fans is endless.

I don't hold any bad feelings toward you Jordan, you might be like Jacob from Kansas "special". I guess I should start putting the terms "bless your heart" after I enlighten the stupid on here.

The Great one tells the truth about osu and the pathetic ones spread lies and hate toward the Great one. How sad, to think all I am trying to do is help a few people give up osu for a true and proven winner.

I did watch the game last night and I while I was busy being a Colorado Buffalo fan, I noticed something while they were giving away the game to osu, everytime osu would score and the band would play, all I heard was the Tuba, I mean it wasn't just once it was everytime, it reminded me of music that plays when a fat kid runs. Don't get me wrong, I like fat kids, I just don't want the fight song from osu to represent fat kids from all over. People I have many many funny and stupid things I am going to share with each and everyone of you about the pure pathetic hopeless institution that is your osu.

After that azz whipping by the hands of Tech, it would seem that would have quieted down the morons, but I guess not! Its like dealing with a dog that is too stupid to come out of the rain.

Yeah Andrew and Jacob, sly old JJ outsmarted us all. Got us to tell him what an idiot he is. And used a big-boy phrase like "inferiority complex" three times! Who knows? If if he keeps that, some day he might pass that GED. Then, he can claim to have an alma mater. Who is your alma mater if you have a GED? The state? That way, he can claim to be a "lifelong fan" of whatever state school is doing best.
Wow, posting on a sports article for a “non-rival” and for what? To make yourself feel better? Sounds like you’re the one with a complex problem. Oh no! I responded to a comment! I guess that means I got caught. Darn!
The time is almost upon us!.. The cowboyz held up now it's the Sooners turn. After we beat Tech infront of another sellout, we will head to Stillwater to sellout their place. Now for the first time, the cowboy players will get to see how it feels to play in front of a big crowd in their home stadium... SOONERS, SO GOOD WE FILL OUR OPPONENTS STADIUMS>>>
You idiots do realize that true OU fans don't like you right? I can't tell you how many have come on here and said that these people writing this crap in the comments can stay under whatever rock it is they are currently under.
No JJ, he brought up OU because you are a OU bandwagon fan. You talk about "fishing" for someone to post back at you? You are a total loser, do you tell your mommy and daddy that you go on OSU boards and see who posts back at you? Geez, seriously find a hobby. Like actually fishing. I certainly don't want to be anything like OU. But, if it makes you feel better about yourself, then keep posting and thinking that!
Patrick, your inferiority complex brought on by OU's dominance over OSUcks is showing. I posted that to see how long it would take one of you fish to bite and post something about OU last year. I knew your desire to be like OU or better than OU would bring you to say something about how OSUcks was able to do something better than OU in some way. Way to bite on that you fish. Now, if OSU could just win the Big XII south. But, we see that even though you have your best team in over 20 years you still can't even win your division. Funny how that is. OSUcks will never be as good as OU. Get over your inferiority complex. Oh, and if you don't believe you have one then why are people saying Orange is the new red? Why? Because you pumpkins have an inferiority complex and want to be like OU. That is why you say that. Man, I always know the fishing in here will be good. lol
