Winds are gusting up to 40 mph Monday morning in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

A wind advisory has been issued until noon Monday for central Oklahoma and parts of northern and southern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Sunny with a high near 66. Windy with a north wind 21 to 26 mph decreasing to 7 to 12 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the evening.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. South southwest wind 13 to 18 mph becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 8 mph in the evening.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. East wind 7 to 12 mph becoming south southeast 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 34.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 64.
