Buy For Less will host pet event

Buy For Less will partner with the Oklahoma Humane Society for a pet adoption event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at its Northwest Expressway store. The event will include 15 dogs and puppies available for adoption. Free ice cream will be served at the southeast corner of the parking lot to families interested in adopting a pet. The adoption fee is $150 for dogs over 6 months of age and $200 for puppies. All dogs have been vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. For each new adoption family, Purina also will give a coupon for a complimentary bag of dog food redeemable at Buy For Less.

Sonic to add five N.C. drive-ins

Oklahoma City-based Sonic Corp. has signed a franchise agreement that will bring five new drive-ins to the Raleigh-Durham, N.C., market over the next five years, adding to the 23 drive-ins currently operating in the Raleigh-Durham market. Franchisee, PGM Properties, LLC, will develop these locations. The new locations are part of a nationwide Sonic expansion. In April, Sonic announced plans to open 1,000 locations in the span of 10 years. The brand’s ultimate goal is to have a Sonic Drive-In within 10 minutes of each potential customer.
