Winds will increase Wednesday in Oklahoma

Wednesday will be windy in central Oklahoma, and there is a chance of rain Thursday, the National Weather Service reports.

Parts of central Oklahoma could be foggy before 8 a.m. Wednesday. There is a 30 percent chance for rain Thursday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny with a high near 75. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 55. South wind 13 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 73. South wind 17 to 22 mph becoming north, northwest 8 to 13 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 37. North wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 56. North, northeast wind 9 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 31.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 57.
