High winds that caused officials to issue a high fire danger for Monday will continue Tuesday.

The Oklahoma City area forecast follows:

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 70. West, southwest wind 11 to 16 mph becoming west, northwest 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 37. Northwest wind 18 to 23 mph decreasing to 8 to 13 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 65. West wind around 8 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 41.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 74.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 52.

Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 68.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 42.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 60.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 39.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 58.
