A sunny day with temperatures near 80 degrees is expected in central Oklahoma Monday. Winds may gust up to 28 mph, the National Weather Service reports.

The forecast for Oklahoma City is as follows:

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 80. North wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 52. North wind 11 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 77. North, northwest wind 9 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 52. Light and variable wind becoming south, southwest 5 to 7 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 84. South wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 59.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 74.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 52.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 70.

Friday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 51.
