Wind gusts up to 25 mph in central Oklahoma Thursday may provide slight relief to the late summer heat, the National Weather Service reports.

The high temperature will be near 95 degrees with winds gusting up to 25 mph.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 95. South, southwest wind 13 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 76. South wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 93. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Friday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 66. North, northeast wind 6 to 11 mph.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 76. North, northeast wind 11 to 13 mph.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 63.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 82.

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 89.
