Oklahoma wineries vie for champion status, business boost at festival

More than a dozen wineries will tout Oklahoma-made products at the fifth annual State Wine Championship on Saturday in Guymon.

More than a dozen Oklahoma wineries will compete for the title at the fifth annual State Wine Championship on Saturday in Guymon.

The winner will leave with 1,000 gold embossed medallions to put on wine bottles, a crystal trophy and $2,500 cash.

Registration forms for this year’s wine championship are available at www.artistincubation.com and can be mailed or brought to Artist Incubation at 421 N Main Street in Guymon, where the festival will be held. Wineries can register for the contest until 8 a.m. Saturday.
