From the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

A storm system will move through the Southern Plains tonight into Saturday morning.

Rain and freezing drizzle/freezing rain will be the main precipitation types except in

far northern Oklahoma where a little bit of sleet and/or snow may also occur.

Precipitation amounts will be light and no widespread significant impacts are expected.

However, a few slick spots may develop on some roadways tonight into Saturday morning.

Expect winter weather to return Saturday Night into Sunday, especially across portions

of western north Texas, southern and central Oklahoma.

Locations outlined in yellow may receive enough snowfall and/or sleet accumulation

to result in travel problems. Accumulations of one to three inches with locally higher amounts are possible.

Another round of winter precipitation and rain will be possible Monday into Tuesday.

The current forecast has the most likely area for heaviest amounts to occur

across parts of northern and central Oklahoma.

However, this location could and likely will change so continue to check back for the latest updates.
