COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina has pushed back opening day for the Gamecocks because of the winter storm and troubles that Bucknell encountered trying to get to Columbia.

The change was announced Wednesday by South Carolina's athletic department.

South Carolina and Bucknell will play two games Saturday at noon and at 4 p.m. The stadium will be cleared after the first game and both contests will be nine innings.

The Gamecocks reached the NCAA Super Regional last season and were picked by Southeastern Conference coaches this week as league favorites.
